Ajax defeated Inter by a score of 2–0 to claim their second successive European Cup victory, following their triumph in the 1971 final. Two second-half goals from forward Johan Cruyff provided the margin of victory for the Dutch side. This game has been cited as Total Football's greatest moment. Ajax dominated much of the game as Inter defended desperately with their catenaccio strategy.https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/12019180/From-2-3-5-to-gegenpress-how-footballs-tactical-fads-have-come-and-gone.html From 2-3-5 to gegenpress: how football's tactical fads have come and gone The Telegraph Liew Jonathan 27 November 2015 21 May 2020 https://www.goal.com/en/news/what-is-total-football-famous-tactics-explained-the-clubs/w5yd5dzofn4p17ewmav4atk2b What is Total Football?
