Berry and offensive coordinator John Bond introduced a new offensive scheme that moved away from Army's traditional triple option offense. While the new offense still included elements of an option offense, the new scheme was more focused on passing.Sports Illustrated Richard Johnson and Conor Orr https://www.si.com/college/2023/06/29/army-jeff-monken-option-scheme-new-look-offense-daily-cover Why coach Jeff Monken, Army are finally dropping the option from their game plan June 29, 2023 March 16, 2024 The Black Knights struggled under this new offense and used three different quarterbacks throughout the season who had a combined TD–INT ratio of 8 to 18.Sports Reference https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/schools/army/2000.html 2000 Army Black Knights Stats March 18, 2024 One bright spot of the season was senior running back Michael Wallace, who finished the season with 1,157 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.Sports Reference https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/michael-wallace-1.html Michael Wallace College Stats March 18, 2024
