Miscellaneous
The result of the second round match between Bennettsbridge and Graigue was overturned by the Kilkenny County Board, following an objection by Graigue on the grounds that Benettsbridge breached the three parish rule. This was subsequently overturned by the Leinster Council. Tullaroan, who were beaten by Éire Óg in their second round match, objected on similar grounds and had their objection upheld.https://irishnewsarchive.com/?a=d&d=KIP19531107.1.2&srpos=7&e=14-09-1953-21-11-1953--en-20--1--img-txIN-eire+og+tullaroan---------1-1-1-1-1-1-community-------INA-mr-all---AND-0-0--&coordinates=1609,5086,1206,1206 Bennettsbridge win appeal Kilkenny People 7 November 1953 11 July 2022
