The team was coached by Leroy Clark in his 4th season. Season As was typical for the program, the Cherries played a scant number of games and didn't perform particularly well. RPI's offense was sorely lacking in most of their games and caused the team to be non competitive in three losses.https://cdm16122.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p16122coll6/id/3032/rec/2 Hockey Team Begins Well The Springfield Student January 21, 1921 July 29, 2023 The lone win for the team came against the worst team in college hockey, New York State, though even there Rensselaer didn't have very good news. Despite the win, RPI scored 17 fewer goals than they had the year before and only won due to the paucity of talent available to their opponents. Note: Rensselaer's athletic teams were unofficially known as 'Cherry and White' until 1921 when the Engineers moniker debuted for the men's basketball team.Symbols of the Institute https://www.rpi.edu/dept/library/html/Archives/gallery/symbols/mascot.html Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute January 9, 2020 Roster yes William Tierney yes C https://www.eliteprospects.com/team/1758/rpi-%28rensselaer-polytech.-inst.%29/1920-1921 1920-1921 Roster Elite Prospects December 30, 2019 Standings RPI Schedule and results no |- !colspan=12 style="RPI Engineers #FFFFFF;" | Regular Season January 15 l yes no YMCA College RPI Rink Troy, New York 1–3 0–1–0 January 22 l yes no Colgate RPI Rink Troy, New York 0–5 0–2–0 January 29 w yes no New York State RPI Rink Troy, New York 6–0 1–2–0 February 12 l yes yes no Hamilton Clinton, New York 0–5 1–3–0 no no https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/rpiathletics.com/documents/2017/1/20/MHKY_All_Time_Season.pdf Results by Season RPI Engineers January 9, 2020 May 18, 2021 https://web.archive.org/web/20210518164117/https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/rpiathletics.com/documents/2017/1/20/MHKY_All_Time_Season.pdf dead References 50em Category:RPI Engineers men's ice hockey seasons RPI RPI RPI
