This season's competition ran alongside the first season of the newly formed Premier League. The tournament was won by Arsenal, beating top level rivals Sheffield Wednesday 2–1 in the final at Wembley. Their spot in the UEFA Cup would be taken by Norwich City, who finished third in the league.https://www.arsenal.com/news/features/20151125/it-s-an-honour-the-1993/94-european-cup 1993/94 Cup Winners' Cup 25 November 2015 Arsenal F.C.
