The Norse, led by 11th-year head coach Dave Bezold, played their home games at The Bank of Kentucky Center and were members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (A-Sun). They finished the season 13–17, 7–7 in A-Sun play to finish in a tie for fourth place. Due to their transition to Division I, the Norse were ineligible to participate in NCAA-operated postseason play, specifically the NCAA tournament and NIT, and will remain ineligible for those tournaments until the 2016–17 season. However, they were eligible for the A-Sun tournament where they lost in the quarterfinals to Lipscomb. This proved to be the final season of both Bezold's tenure at NKU and the school's membership in the A-Sun. Following the season, Bezold was fired,http://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/college/othercolleges/2015/03/16/bezond-nku-head-coach/24864757/ Bezold out as NKU coach after 11 seasons Rick Broering The Cincinnati Enquirer March 17, 2015 March 24, 2015 eventually being replaced by Alabama assistant John Brannen.http://nkunorse.com/news/2015/4/6/MBB_0406153353.aspx John Brannen welcomed as men's basketball head coach Northern Kentucky Norse April 6, 2015 May 17, 2015 Then, on May 11, 2015, it was announced that NKU would leave the A-Sun to join the Horizon League effective July 1, 2015.http://www.horizonleague.org/blog/northern-kentucky-university-to-join-horizon-league-in-july Northern Kentucky University to Join Horizon League in July Horizon League May 11, 2015 May 11, 2015 dead https://web.archive.org/web/20150514000904/http://www.horizonleague.org/blog/northern-kentucky-university-to-join-horizon-league-in-july May 14, 2015 Roster 2014 Northern Kentucky Norse white black black #FFD700 Chad Jackson 0 F 6 4 200 SR yes Lexington, Kentucky Tayler Persons y 2 G 6 3 230 FR Kokomo, Indiana Tyler White 3 G 6 3 190 JR Lima, Ohio Deontae Cole 4 F 6 6 200 SO Toledo, Ohio Jordan Garnett 5 F 6 6 215 FR Indianapolis, Indiana Jordan Jackson 11 G 6 2 185 SR St. Paul, Minnesota Daniel Camps 13 F 6 5 225 SO Fayetteville, North Carolina Jake Giesler 20 C 6 7 230 JR Fort Thomas, Kentucky Jalen Billups y 21 F 6 6 240 JR Cincinnati, Ohio Matt Rosenwinkel 22 G 6 2 230 SO Rochelle, Illinois Todd Johnson 23 G 5 9 170 JR Elkhart, Indiana Cole Murray 25 G 6 7 200 SO Delphi, Indiana Jared Bryant 32 F 6 7 255 JR yes Cincinnati, Ohio Anthony Monaco 33 G 6 4 180 JR Dover, Ohio Dean Danos 44 G 5 11 175 SO Oak Lawn, Illinois http://nkunorse.com/roster.aspx?path=mbball& Dave Bezold (Viterbo) Kevin Schappell (Northern Kentucky) Danté Jackson (Xavier) Ethan Faulkner (Northern Kentucky) Schedule and results Source:2020-21 Men's Basketball Schedule https://nkunorse.com/sports/mens-basketball/schedule 2021-06-13 Northern Kentucky University Athletics en yes no |- !colspan=9 style=Northern Kentucky Norse| Non-conference regular season November 14, 2014 9:00 pm yes yes no Wisconsin 3 Kohl Center Madison, WI BTN 62–31 17,279 0–1 November 16, 2014 2:00 pm yes yes no Nebraska 21 Pinnacle Bank Arena Lincoln, NE 61–80 15,479 0–2 November 19, 2014 7:00 pm yes no North Carolina A&T The Bank of Kentucky Center Highland Heights, KY 68–55 1,505 1–2 November 22, 2014 7:00 pm yes no Ohio Mid-Western The Bank of Kentucky Center Highland Heights, KY 98–48 1,942 2–2 November 26, 2014 9:00 pm yes yes no Eastern Washington Reese Court Cheney, WA 60–81 1,003 2–3 November 29, 2014 10:00 pm yes yes no Idaho Memorial Gym Moscow, ID 79–74 227 3–3 December 3, 2014 7:00 pm yes no UT Martin The Bank of Kentucky Center Highland Heights, KY 56–71 1,272 3–4 December 7, 2014 7:00 pm yes no West Virginia 16 The Bank of Kentucky Center Highland Heights, KY 42–67 5,089 3–5 December 14, 2014 2:00 pm yes no UC–Clermont The Bank of Kentucky Center Highland Heights, KY 107–53 1,181 4–5 December 16, 2014 7:00 pm yes yes no Chattanooga McKenzie Arena Chattanooga, TN 81–93 2,361 4–6 December 19, 2014 7:00 pm yes yes no Morehead State Ellis Johnson Arena Morehead, KY 83–60 1,435 5–6 December 22, 2014 7:00 pm yes no Idaho The Bank of Kentucky Center Highland Heights, KY 81–68 1,255 6–6 December 27, 2014 3:00 PM yes yes no Northwestern Welsh-Ryan Arena Evanston, IL BTN 55–76 6,650 6–7 December 31, 2014 12:00 pm yes yes no Youngstown State Beeghly Center Youngstown, OH ESPN3 74–78 1,396 6–8 January 3, 2015 4:00 pm yes no Toledo The Bank of Kentucky Center Highland Heights, KY ESPN3 55–57 2,055 6–9 |- !colspan=9 style=Northern Kentucky Norse| Atlantic Sun regular season January 10, 2015 7:30 pm yes no Lipscomb Allen Arena Nashville, TN 61–80 621 6–10 (0–1) January 14, 2015 7:00 pm no Kennesaw State The Bank of Kentucky Center Highland Heights, KY 76–72 1,547 7–10 (1–1) January 17, 2015 2:00 pm yes no USC Upstate G.
